Workshop overview:

This one-day training course provides a focused overview of the key revisions incorporated into the upcoming ISO 9001:2026 standard. The session begins with a review of the revision timeline, transition framework, and overall direction of the update, emphasizing that the new edition builds upon the established ISO 9001:2015 structure rather than introducing a complete redesign. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how the revised standard maintains its core framework while introducing targeted enhancements intended to improve clarity, alignment, and effectiveness within quality management systems.

The course examines the high-level themes and primary updates included in the revised standard, including the integration of climate change considerations into the organizational context and expanded leadership expectations related to promoting quality culture and ethical behavior. It also addresses strengthened alignment between the quality policy and strategic direction, along with enhanced requirements for risk and opportunity management—placing greater emphasis on analysis and evaluation. Additional updates related to change management and continual improvement are explored to highlight how the revised standard reinforces a more proactive and structured approach to managing quality.

In addition to major changes, the training reviews a range of refinements across key clauses, including those related to interested parties, organizational knowledge, customer communication, internal audits, and management review. These updates are presented to illustrate how the standard clarifies expectations, reorganizes requirements, and strengthens overall system effectiveness. The course concludes with an overview of anticipated impacts on documented information and quality management practices, providing practical insight into how organizations can align their systems with the updated requirements and prepare for a smooth transition following publication.
