This Quick Reference Guide is intended as an introduction and an aid to understanding the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) (2014/68/EU). It describes certain requirements of the Directive in general terms and is not intended as a replacement for the PED. Manufacturers should refer to the Directive and consult their Notified Body for authoritative guidance.
