Course overview
ISO 19443 is the international quality management standard developed specifically for organizations supplying products and services important to nuclear safety (ITNS). Built on the foundations of ISO 9001, it introduces additional requirements unique to the nuclear sector, including nuclear safety culture, the identification and classification of ITNS items, and the application of risk-based thinking to safety-critical activities.
This two-day technical training course provides a practical introduction to the standard and equips delegates with the knowledge to interpret its requirements in the context of their own organization. Through guided instruction, worked examples, and a structured gap analysis exercise, attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how ISO 19443 applies to their operations and what is required to align or prepare for certification.
